Carole Attle, 74, was hit by a bus while shopping in Stockton-on-Tees, England, and had to be placed in an induced coma. She spent five weeks in intensive care, where she claims her late husband David encouraged her to "keep fighting." Carole had injuries from head to toe, broke her eye socket and nose, broke three ribs and had a brain bleed. Despite her severe injuries, she returned home in October last year with a care team to aid her recovery for another nine weeks.
